I went to see an exhibition today at the Centre Of Life. : An exhibition blending high fashion and embryology by artist and designer Helen Storey and biologist Kate Storey. The exhibition at Life consists of 10 couture dresses telling the story of the first 1000 hours of human life. Includes original pieces such as the Sperm Coat and Heart Tube Hat. The exhibition made the process of first life more interesting working fashion with science, the photos of the dresses are very atmospheric. My favorite piece from the exhibition was being the 1000 sperm coat which took 105 hours to embroider on dissolvable fabric. The first hours of the embryo is a topic which is generally not raised, I found it amazing how developed the embryo is before a month of growing inside the womb.
